Christmas Boutique

The Christmas Boutique committee would like to say thank you to everyone who contributed to the boutique events and weekend. We really appreciate the time, talent, and donations given to help our parish. A special thank you goes to our families and booth and committee chairmen for their support.

Christmas Boutique Volunteer Sign-ups and Ticket Sales

The Christmas Boutique is less than a month away! Now is the time to start signing up to volunteer. We need lots of help with all kinds of areas Thursday, November 10 through Sunday, November 13. There are many options from cleaning/set-up to child care and security, as well as cashiers and manning booths. Please sign-up outside at the mock booth. And while you are signing-up to help, reward yourself and buy a ticket to the Champagne Preview (November 11 at 7pm) for $20. It is going to be a festive night of Christmas music, great company, delicious food, bubbly drinks, and scrumptious desserts. Plus, you get to be one of the first to see the Hall and get your Christmas shopping started, or even finished! What a reward indeed!

You can also purchase child punch cards for the Tiny Treasures (children’s shopping area). They are $5 now or $5.50 during the boutique weekend. The October/November Update will be available at the table along with fliers to give your family and friends or give to local businesses.

Saturday, October 22 is one of the last workshops. It is our Cookie and Brownie Mixer workshop after 8am Mass. Please come by to help or donate baking supplies this week.

For any questions stop by the booth or contact: Kristen Bruender (714-418-8074; kristenbruender@gmail.com) or Rita Jakel (714-538-6164; rjakel@sbcglobal.net)

Christmas Treasures – A Christmas Boutique

A big thank you to all who have already come forward with donations, contributions and participation in making all sorts of goodies!! All proceeds from the Boutique will be put towards necessary repairs and maintenance to our beautiful Chapel, but the work of our parishioners side-by-side is another very important way to strengthen our Chapel beyond the funds we raise. Wouldn’t you want to know that you did your part to help?? So, if you haven’t yet made your contribution, think about how you can help. We still need a few booth chairmen, workshop participants, supplies for workshops, and helping hands to take a shift or two during the Boutique. If you have a business and would like to advertise in the Boutique program, please complete an advertising form. Please ask businesses you frequent to underwrite a booth or advertise in the program. And of course, we need shoppers!! So keep using those envelopes to save up for the big weekend of events, and invite friends and family to shop among the treasures Friday-Sunday, November 11-13.

Upcoming events for the whole family:

Saturday, September 10: Christmas Craft and Ornament workshop immediately following the 8 am Mass. Bring craft supplies or art smocks for the kids, if you have them. This workshop will be extended to Sunday if there is interest or need to finish ornaments.

Sunday, September 18: Grab a yummy pancake breakfast to support PPA Athletics and then come over to a classroom to share a craft that you are working on or learn a new one. This can be any kind of fiber art (sewing, knitting, etc) or crafting. Let’s all share our many talents!!

Saturday, September 24: Movie Night – Come enjoy dinner and a movie under the stars. View “The Song of Bernadette” a classic from the days when Hollywood made movies of quality. Food and beverages will be sold and there will be drawings for cool prizes. Fun for the whole family!! Watch for further announcements.

To get involved, make donations, or if you have any questions contact Kristen Bruender (kristenbruender@gmail.com or 714-418-8074) or Rita Jakel (rjakel@sbcglobal.net or 714-538-6164)
