Padre Pio Academy News for June 21, 2020
Celebrating 38 Years of Catholic Tradition in Education
The inaugural Our Lady Help of Christians Parishioner Enrollment kicked off last week with a bang! Many, many of you dropped by to verify your contact information currently on file; name, email and phone numbers. Some were able to provide updated contact data. If you forgot about the process or perhaps the breezeway table was just too busy after your Mass, we are open again this Sunday after each Service! You may fill out the sheet (three items – how long would that take?), or scan the QR Code (the square box filled with tiny square blocks – looks like a miniscule crossword puzzle). If you scan the QR it will take you to the official OLHC enrollment form where you can fill it out and remit it at your leisure, on-line. It’s no secret what a living purgatory the scam-demic has been, and yet is, but with your contact info we can keep in touch when the next leftist sideshow pulls into town and keep you advised of changes for Mass and confession hours as well as any important Church events – Confirmation or conferences for example. Clearly, if you’re a regular parishioner, you need to take advantage of this valuable endeavor, and you ought to as well, if you are only in attendance occasionally. Next Sunday, June 28, will be the final enrollment opportunity. All information is TOP SECRET!!!
Padre Pio Academy is a “traditional Catholic” K-12, meaning that it is the same sort of parish school you attended way back when. PPA is also a “Traditional Catholic” school, meaning it adheres to the perennial teachings and TRADITIONS of the Catholic Church in Faith, Morals and Values which we pass on to our students, to our children. “Tradition” is from the Latin, meaning to “hand over” or “pass on”. If you have youngsters of typical intelligence, and manners, we encourage you to submit a pre-registration form for the Fall Semester, available in the breezeway. Time is of the essence!!!
Very best wishes for a Happy Fathers Day to our many fathers in attendance as well as to all gentlemen present leading us by your fine example!!!
“Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is one of those which should be especially dear to us. And why? Because it honors Christ Jesus not only in one of His states or particular mysteries, but in the generality and totality of His love, of that love wherein all His mysteries find their deepest meaning. Although being a clearly defined devotion, devotion to the Heart of Jesus bears something that is universal. In honoring the Heart of Christ, it is no longer on Jesus as Infant, Youth or Victim that our homage lingers, but on the Person of Jesus in the plenitude of His love. Moreover, the general practice of this devotion tends, at the last analysis, to render to Our Lord love for love: Movet nos ad amandum mutuo; to penetrate all our activity with love in order to please Christ Jesus. The special exercises of the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus are but so many means of expressing to our Divine Master this reciprocity of love.” – Dom -Marmion
