Padre Pio Academy News for June 14, 2020
Celebrating 38 Years of Catholic Tradition in Education
We tried so hard to get ahold of you!!! But, you know, …we couldn’t think of your name, or …we couldn’t find your email, and your phone number had changed – a couple of times! What were we to do?” What a sad, sad story; don’t let it happen to you! Please stop by the table in the breezeway today to make sure your parish contact information is up to date. There were a couple instances over the course of the covid gulag-demic where parishioners “fell through the cracks” because the Fathers didn’t possess the most recent contact information to get in touch with a few very important people… YOU!!! At the information table you may check the OLHC database to verify your names, phone numbers and email addresses are the latest and greatest. If you should find a discrepancy, you may correct it, completing a new form and submitting it to our smiling (thus maskless) volunteers. Or you may scan our proprietary OLHC QR Code with your cell and submit it electronically when you get home. f you are a new parishioner or even an occasional one, you should take advantage of this enrollment opportunity; who knows what future foolishness awaits us. Had this database been available in the March timeframe, everyone would have been informed as to Mass and confession availability and schedule changes. Of course your information is top secret and they’ll have to carry us kicking and screaming to the nearest ventilator to divulge it!!! Be sure to see the various posters for additional data. Finally, this informational update opportunity is available after all Masses today, as well as for the next two Sundays, June 21 & 28.
Even as you read, Padre Pio Academy is accepting enrollment applications for the upcoming Fall Semester K-12, which are available in a clear information pocket on the breezeway wall. If you are even remotely considering PPA as the school for your children or grandchildren, you need to act ASAP to be assured of reserving a place for them on our autumn roster. If you have questions or considerations you are welcome to give us a call – soon!!!
Cogitationes cordis ejus de generatione et generationem. “It is with this Feast of the Sacred Heart, [Friday, June 19] according to the revelation of Our Lord to Ste. Margaret Mary, that the Church closes, so to speak, the annual cycle of the solemnities of the Savior; it is as if, arrived at the term of the contemplation of her Bridegroom’s mysteries, there is nothing left for her to do but to celebrate the Very Love that inspired them all, the Heart of the flesh of Jesus, the Heart which beats for us in the bosom of the God-Man.” – Dom Columba Marmion
On that day also, Fr. Lawrence Smith, previously of OLHC, will offer the next in his Novena of Masses for the intention of “deliverance of our loved ones or ourselves from the influence, assaults and tyranny of Satan and his demons”. To partake of the graces, your part, as a generally enrolled petitioner, is to attend Mass or make a Spiritual Communion on the day and include said intentions in
your daily Rosary.
