Join us for Mass: 9621 Bixby Ave., Garden Grove, CA 92841 Go To Map

My Dear Faithful,

Because of the circumstances of the current chastisement all Masses and activities at Our Lady Help of Christians chapel are suspended as of today.  Please remember that although the situation makes it impossible for you to attend Mass and that you are relieved of this obligation for the present we all still have the obligation to keep holy the Sabbath day. This we do by prayer, spiritual Communion, and spiritual reading, as well as activities proper to the Lord’s Day. I have included a link to a website with many, many good Catholic books that can be read online for free.

Furthermore please bear in mind that while we cannot have Masses at the chapel at the present we still have bills to pay. If the situation does not change before Easter, the faithful are asked to please continue to support the parish in this time of crisis by mailing their contributions to the address found at the end of this announcement. As always you are in my prayers and private Masses. Let us all do prayers and penance together to beg God to remove the scourge from us so that we may resume parish life as normal.

God Bless You! Mary Keep You!

From the readings of tomorrow’s Matutinum Paul the first hermit, and model of all others, was a native of the lower Theba’id in Egypt. At the age of fifteen years he lost both his parents. In order to escape from the persecution of Decius and Valerian, and to serve God in quietness, he betook himself […]

DOMINICA IV ADVENTUS Apparently, no English dictionary has been able to successfully explain the difference between the two words COMPLETE and FINISHED. Some people say that there is no difference but others say there is and that this is the proof: When you marry the right woman you are COMPLETE, when you marry the wrong […]

In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen. Monsignor began the sermon by reciting the Hail Mary. I just want to say a few words as we are still in the beginning of this year. I was trying to think up something useful for you because we […]

Padre Pio Academy Fundraisers

Here are a few, what we call “painless” fundraisers in which we engage throughout the year. Painless – because all it takes is a little effort on your part. Little Caesars proof-of-purchase tabs – Just snip off the folding lock tab on every Little Ceasars box and when we get enough, BAM! a free PPA […]

True God and true man, only Son of the Eternal Father, and of Mary, always virgin! I adore Thee profoundly in the bosom and splendors of Thy Father during eternity; and I adore Thee also […]

1 DOMINICA INFRA OCTAVAM NATIVITATIS One day St. Francis went to pray in the old church of St. Damiano, outside Assisi. And, as he prayed in front of the Crucifix placed on the altar, he had a vision of Christ that pierced his heart, to the point that he could no longer recall the Lord’s […]
